Fold and keep in a cool, dry place away from sunlight

First Use

Your new NomadMat arrives tightly folded for compact shipping. To help it lay flat: (1) fully unfold the mat, (2) reverse the direction of each fold (fold it the opposite way) several times, and (3) lay it completely flat on the floor overnight. This relaxes the creases from shipping. Your mat will continue to lay flatter and fold more compactly with regular use. Enjoy your first practice!

Cleaning Your Mat

For Daily care, wipe the surface with a soft cloth using warm water and a mild, alcohol-free detergent. This removes sweat and helps maintain grip. For deeper cleaning or stubborn stains, use a diluted baking soda solution in water below 40°C (104°F). Gently scrub with a soft cloth, then rinse with a clean damp cloth. Do not soak the mat for more than 15 minutes. Air dry completely in a cool, shaded area before folding. Please avoid bleach, high-concentration alcohol, acetone, strong acids or alkalis, essential oils, abrasive cleaners, or stiff brushes. Never machine wash, machine dry, or fully submerge the mat. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which can accelerate aging and yellowing.

Storing Your Mat

Fold your NomadMat along its natural creases and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. For longer storage, lay it flat when possible and avoid placing heavy objects on the folded creases. Proper storage helps preserve the cushioning, shape, and foldability of your mat.

Care Guide

How do I make my new mat lay flat for the first time?

Fully unfold the mat, reverse the direction of each fold several times, then lay it flat on the floor overnight. It will continue to lay flatter with regular use.

How often should I clean my NomadMat?

Wipe it down with a soft cloth after every use. Deep clean as needed when you notice buildup or stains.

What is the best way to clean my mat?

For daily cleaning, use a soft cloth with warm water and a mild, alcohol-free detergent. Wipe gently and air dry completely in a cool, shaded area.

Can I bleach my mat?

Never use bleach or any bleach containing product on your mat.  It degrades the mat material and its custom color.

Can I put my NomadMat in the washing machine?

No. Never machine wash, machine dry, or fully submerge your mat in water.

What cleaners should I avoid?

Do not use bleach, high-concentration alcohol, acetone, strong acids or alkalis, essential oils, abrasive cleaners, or stiff brushes. These can damage the surface, grip, and color.

How should I store my foldable mat?

Fold along its natural creases and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. For longer storage, lay it flat when possible and avoid placing heavy objects on the folded creases.

Can I leave my mat folded all the time except when I work out?

Yes, but avoid long-term tight compression or continuous pressure on the folds, as this can affect the cushioning over time.

Will my mat get flatter over time?

Yes. With regular use and proper care, it will lay flatter and fold more compactly.

Can I use my mat outdoors?

Yes. After outdoor use, wipe it clean and air dry in the shade. Avoid leaving it in direct sunlight for extended periods, as UV exposure can accelerate aging and yellowing.

How do I remove stubborn sweat stains?

Mix a diluted baking soda solution in water below 40°C (104°F). Softly scrub the area, then rinse with a clean damp cloth. Do not soak the mat for more than 15 minutes. Air dry completely in the shade.
